Portable generators

portable-generators

Power failure, especially during extreme weather conditions and other natural calamities, may disrupt your daily routine. It may be difficult if the power failure lasts longer than expected. The frozen food in your freezer may spoil, your toddler might get irritable because it may be too hot or too cold, and work on your PC will have to wait.

A generator may come in handy in situations such as this. A generator is beneficial because it can provide temporary power to allow you to resume the normalcy of daily life. Having a generator can provide power to medical devices that require electricity. It can also keep your refrigerator running, thus foods are kept safe because they are controlled at the right temperature to avoid bacteria accumulation and spoilage. When choosing among the many models of portable generators out there, it is important to consider the wattage you will need for your home, the electrical appliances you want to keep running, and the amount of money you have to spend.

Men’s watches

Chicago-cub-watchBefore settling on the next stylish designer watch you see, you have to consider various factors when choosing the right watch for your man. There are so many men’s watches to choose from and, for sure, there is one that will fit your man perfectly. First, you have to know what type of a man is your man? Is he the outdoorsy type, or is he more of the boardroom type of guy? Is he trendy or does he prefer comfort over style anytime?

If he loves the outdoors, then a waterproof sports watch would be right for him. If you want to get him a classy watch, keep an eye on those stainless steel straps which are stronger than leather straps and do not rust. These straps are a little more expensive, but will outlast any generic strap. Always remember to pick a watch that you think your man will like and not something you like. Sometimes women commit the mistake of choosing according to their tastes and disregarding what men actually prefer.

Traumatized For Life

gas-canIf you’re like me you probably don’t care much about having automotive supplies in your car or around the house. I will admit it—I am a woman, and like many women I don’t know a lot about cars, nor automotive tools. I never thought I needed to learn. I figured my husband would take care of that kind of stuff for me.

I had a rude awakening. Actually, it was more of a life-changing awakening. I was driving to another town to visit a friend and started to run out of gas. I was out in the middle of nowhere so I stopped at the first gas station I saw. But it was closed and I was out of gas. Of course I had no spare gas can in my car. There was nothing I could do but wait for someone to stop and help me. I ended up spending six hours freezing in my car until someone finally stopped. If I would have just carried a little extra gas with me I would have been alright. But I didn’t and now I am traumatized forever.

Where’s My Jewelry?

two-tone-necklace

I want jewelry and I want a lot of jewelry! For some reason even after 24 years of marriage my husband has not figured that out. Every holiday, birthday and anniversary I give him not so subtle hints that I would like a gift of jewelry. I don’t even care if it’s inexpensive fashion jewelry! I just want some shiny token of his affection.

Last year he gave me a camera. I told him “why would I want any pictures of myself when I don’t have any pretty jewelry to show off?” This year he better get me some nice jewelry. Our marriage may depend on it. I mean seriously, what guy doesn’t get his gal jewelry?
